Here is an update on the armed robbery of the downtown Brackenfell Spur:

“ARMED ROBBERY TOOK PLACE AT THE BRACKENFELL SPUR IN OLD PAARL ROAD, SUNDAY NIGHT
Cape Town, Brackenfell: Just after 21h00 on Sunday evening an armed robbery took place at the Brackenfell Spur. Fortunately nobody was injured and no shots were fired.
Sunday nights robbery at the Brackenfell Spur is the 3rd robbery in three years. According the Erika Crous, police spokesperson, two suspects entered the restuarant and asked for a table for 2.
Moments later, the 2 suspects asked to speak to the manager and pulled a gun on the 27 year old manager, the moment she got to their table. They immediately demanded all the cash in the cash register and keys to the safe.
A third suspect was waiting at the entrance door. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, 6-pack beer & a bottle of J&B Whiskey!
At the time of the robbery, there were 5 staff members and 3 clients in the restaurant. Brackenfell police is investigating.
